Google Voice Opened to the Public

Historically, the only way to utilize Google Voice was to request an invite.  Yesterday, Google updated the Google Voice application – opening it to the public, with no invitation required.

For users who aren’t familiar with the application, it provides an integrated voicemail player in Gmail, is also available as a mobile app, it can be used with an existing phone number, and also has the ability to transcribe your voicemails.
