For those of you who just can’t wait to get the 2.1 update on your Droid Eris, the developers at XDA Developers Forum (XDA Developers) have leaked a working ROM for 2.1. A word of caution in using this update, rather than waiting for the OTA – it is a leaked ROM, not an official update (although the responses in the forum gives the impression that the ROM provided is the same as the upcoming OTA official update). I have also read that there is no way to roll back the installation – and the results vary by user. So, there is no guarantee that it will work without issues.
