Adobe to Purchase Omniture

Adobe said on Tuesday that it has reached a deal to acquire Web analytics firm Omniture for $1.8 billion, or $21.50 per share. This is the company’s biggest acquisition since its purchase of Macromedia in 2005.  The deal is scheduled to close around Adobe’s fourth quarter, but still has to face government approvals.
